‡ Four Years Later... ‡
.....

newly married couple stands before a nice three
story home, in Promise Falls. Ms. Andrews, a real-estate agent,
mentions that this particular house once belonged to the famous writer,
Keith Rolmir. This seems to make the selling of this house more easier,
for Ms. Andrews, as the young couple are eager to fill out the
paperwork and buy this house. This means a bonus for her at work and
many kudos, for this house hasn't been able to sell, due to rumors
around town that it's haunted. Ms. Andrews happily waves goodbye to
both Mr. and Mrs. Baine.
Tommy and Jody both smile at each other, a week
later, as they move their various boxes inside their new home. "You
know," sighs Jody, placing a box onto a counter, "I always thought
I'd move away from this town, go to someplace exciting, some big city
somewhere." "Well," grins Tommy, playfully, "We can still do that.
Let's run away to Mexico together and start a new life!" Jody giggles,
hitting her husband in the arm, "Yeah, right." "So," he says, leaning
in and kissing her on the forehead, "Are you regretting staying
here?"
"No," she shrugs, pulling items from a box, "Not
really. Ever since Lily and Mr. Rolmir came into our lives, I've had
enough excitement to last me a lifetime. I have a new-found
appreciation for the quiet life." "Hmm," frowns Tommy, "So, you're
saying I'm not exciting?" "No," she grins, wrapping her arms around
him, "You're lots of excitement, baby." Both chuckle. They let go,
shuffling through boxes. Tommy comes across their wedding album.
"Well," he sighs, opening it up, "It's a shame that Lily couldn't
come to the wedding." "Yeah," says Jody, pulling out the china, "But
I understand. She's somewhere in Paris, trying to find herself.
"Ever since the tragedy in that warehouse...
Well... she nearly died. It still scares me, just thinking about it."
Tommy wraps his arm around his wife, as she stares into a wall, still
upset about Lily's close call. "Well," says Tommy, "I'm sure we'll see
her again, someday. At least she isn't alone, out there in the world."
"Yeah," Jody teases, "I'm sure she's having a blast with Talon."
ily steps out onto a balcony of huge manor, located
somewhere in France. "Talon." she frowns, obviously sorry, "I didn't
mean to lock you out here. There's food inside, waiting for you." But
the cat doesn't mind, rubbing against her ankle, before heading in.
Lily leans on the black and gold railing, gazing out into the thick
nearby woods, and worrying. She wonders how she can ever pull off
being the new Queen Of The Undead.
Huge strong arms wrap around her, as Keith places
a kiss on her neck. "Don't worry," he says into her ear, as if reading
her mind, "You'll be respected and treated as a queen. Just be
yourself." "Even though," Lily worries, "I'm human?" "You wouldn't be
the first human queen of the Rolmirs." he says, "Nor the last one."
Keith twirls his queen around to face him. "Come on." he smiles,
leaning his forehead on Lily's, "This is a time of celebration and
champagne!" "No." she frowns, rubbing her round belly, reminding him
that her body is no longer just hers.
"Oh, right." Keith frowns, placing his hands
gently on her stomach, "I keep forgetting. I'm going to make a
terrible father." "No, you won't." she grins, grabbing onto his arms,
"You're going to be great. I just know it." But Keith is distracted by
a shift in the woods. "Faldan," he growls, "He must be up to
something." "Uh-uh." sings Lily, gently turning her king's head
towards her, "I may not be able to do champagne, but I can still
celebrate. So, leave Faldan alone for now. Celebrate with me."
"Yeah." Keith smiles, embracing Lily, "That's a
better idea." Both of them engage in a long kiss.
