Episode 4: Here Comes Kagura

While sitting around the table, Tohru notices that the house is shaking. She wonders what it is and Shigure comments, "Hmm... she's a bit early." Kyo is terrified and tries to run, but Shigure holds Kyo by his shirt. Kyo is still running in place, demanding that Shigure lets go of him, while Yuki watches, annoyed. The vibrations stop suddenly and Tohru goes to answer the door. It seems as if no one is there, but she then notes that she didn't leave the patio door open, which it now was. Suddenly, a strange girl is peeking from the corner of the door, startling Tohru. Her name is Kagura and she asks Tohru if Kyo is there. Tohru answers yes, noting that Kagura is a very pretty little girl.
In the background, Kyo is still running in place, screaming at Shigure. And Kagura spots him, so happy that Kyo is home! She runs in slow motion towards him, "Kyo! Kyo!" In a tiny voice, she asks Kyo why he hasn't called her, that she missed him. Then she screams, "I missed you so much!", throwing Kyo through a door! Kyo's in the yard and Kagura rushes after him, beating him to a pulp! Tohru is shocked at this, and Shigure sighs, complaining about his house being damaged again. He explains that Kagura is often this way, showing her affection for Kyo, by beating him up. Yuki explains to Tohru, that despite her looks, Kagura is actually 2 years older than him, Tohru, and Kyo.
Kagura is also one of the twelve Zodiacs. And Tohru wonders which animal. Shigure comments that it should be obvious which one. Just then, Kyo is slammed to the ground, unconscious. Kagura stops, now worried, "Oh, Kyo! You're hurt! Oh, no... no..." She hugs him, while screaming dramatically, "Who did this to you?!" Shigure answers, "Um... you?" Later, everyone sits at the table, but there's a huge hole in the side of the house. And everyone is kinda cold now, with the wind blowing in. Kagura apologizes for breaking a hole into the house, while a sore Kyo sulks. She then points out that it's Kyo's fault too, "If you didn't forget to call me sometimes, I wouldn't have to miss you so much." Kyo screams that he didn't forget, that he didn't want to call her.
But Kagura smiles and insist that Kyo's just being silly. Of course he wants to call her! She then reminds Kyo that he had promised to marry her. Tohru is happy with the news! But Kyo shouts he only asked Kagura to marry him, when they were kids, because Kagura was going to kill him if he didn't! A flashback reveals a young Kyo cowering, as a young Kagura holds a huge boulder over her head! But Kagura isn't listening. She goes on to point out that Kyo and her are perfect for each other, because they can hug and not transform. The cursed members of the Sohmas are able to hug each other for some unknown reason. Kagura goes on to say how much she loves Kyo and Shigure mentions that Tohru is also a fan. Tohru smiles and says, "Yep. I'm a fan of the year of the cat!"
"Rival!" screams Kagura, rushing towards Tohru, "What do you like about Kyo? Because I like everything, everything!" She even comments that even if Kyo has a one time fling, she could forgive him, it didn't matter! And the prove her love farther, she began to say she likes Kyo, even when he transform. "Even his other-" she begins and Kyo covers her mouth, a dark look on his face. He tells her to shut up and threatens Kagura. "If you say one more word," he says, "I'll... I'll..." Kagura yells, "You'll what?!", nearing breaking Kyo's arm. As Kyo screams, Yuki suggest that maybe Kyo should just call "uncle". So, Tohru goes to wash the clothes, hoping her and Kagura can become friends. Kagura looms in the doorway, startling Tohru. Kagura rushes in, asking Tohru if she's washing Kyo's clothes. Tohru tells her no, that she's just done Yuki's clothes and that Kyo's clothes will be done later.
Kagura begs Tohru to let her wash Kyo's clothes. Tohru finally agrees. So Kagura rushes Kyo, knocking him to the floor, and pulling off his shirt. Kyo yells, asking Kagura what she's doing. "I'm washing clothes!" she says, "I can't very well wash them with you, silly." Kagura manages to get Kyo shirt, but he runs away, wearing only his pants. Kagura is sad that Kyo has run away again, asking Tohru why Kyo may be angry with her, while wiping her tears on his shirt. She frowns, because the shirt stinks, screaming to Tohru, "How can you let him wear this!" She then vows to be the best wife ever and began shoving all of Kyo's clothes into the washer. While washing his clothes, Kyo is hiding in the woods, near the home. He's waiting for his shirt to be done, so he can sneak and get it, then run away. Kagura tries to wring the shirt, so it'll get dry faster, but gets carried away! She rips the shirt into shreds. Kyo sneaks back in and sees his ripped shirt.

Kyo: "Tell me what I think just happened didn't just happen!"
Kagura: "My love!"
Kyo: "My shirt!"

Kyo's pissed, to say the least. Kagura offers him another shirt, but it's soaking wet. And since she has washed all of his clothes, except for the pants he's wearing, Kyo is even more angry. And the laundry room starts to fill with suds, since Kagura used too much detergent! Shigure asks what's burning. She had put an kettle on, in the kitchen, tea for Kyo. Now, it was burning! She rushes to pull the kettle off the stove, but it's too hot, and she drops in onto a throw-rug. The rug catches on fire! Kyo tries to put the fire out, with his ripped shirt, but Shigure rushes into the room and sprays an extinguisher. Now all three are white with foam, sitting at the table. The kitchen is burned and everything is a mess. Kagura tries to apologize, but Kyo screams at her, saying it's her fault they're without a kitchen. She bends him into half, yelling, "What do you want me to do?!"
Yuki and Tohru comes home, from their walk, finding Kagura huddled in the burned kitchen. Tohru offers to help, but Kagura is determine to fix the problem alone. Kyo is hiding on the roof. Without an kitchen, they decide to order out for dinner. After Yuki, Shigure, and Tohru finish dinner, Tohru is worry, because Kagura and Kyo haven't eaten theirs. Kagura is still working in the kitchen and Kyo's still hiding. Shigure decides to give Kagura her dinner, but isn't ready to face Kyo just yet. Kagura still doesn't eat, still working to clean the kitchen, and sad that Kyo is angry with her. She then decides to make Kyo choose her, over Tohru, still thinking that Tohru is her rival. But Shigure suggests that's not a good idea. Kagura shouts that he would have no idea how a woman feels, when they're in love! "Yes, I do." he says, "Well... I felt enough women, to venture a guess." Kagura is confused by this comment. Shigure grins nervously and suggests that Kagura should call him a pervert and slap him.
Kagura laughs, her fists growing huge. She chases Shigure around the house, beating the crud out of him, while laughing and singing, "Shigure's a perv!" Shigure is running for his life, screaming. Later that night, the kitchen is clean, as Tohru notices that Kagura still hasn't eaten. But Kagura is now repairing the door, that she flung Kyo through, earlier that day. Tohru decides to make Kagura riceballs and offered it, as a sign of friendship. Kagura accepts and then both of them fix the door together. After fixing the door, Tohru checks on Kyo, who's trying to sleep on the roof. She offers him riceballs as well. Kyo explains that Kagura is really overbearing. But Tohru thinks that Kyo is lucky, to have someone who cares so much from him. They talk for a while and Tohru learns of Kyo's passion for martial arts.
The next day, Tohru still hasn't figured out which animal Kagura is and asks Shigure. He makes it out to be an guessing game, instead of just telling her the answer. As Tohru wonders, Kyo and Kagura began arguing again. In a fit of rage, Kagura shouts, "Kyo! I'm leaving you with love!" She thunders through a door, flying out of the house, and landing into the arms of the local paperboy! Yuki quickly pushes the paperboy far away from the house, before he could see the transformation. Kagura is the Boar! Tohru scoops her up from the ground and expresses how she would like see Kyo in the way Kagura does, someday. Kagura is enraged by this and starts kicking Kyo in the face, calling him a cheater! Shigure is confused, "I thought you said you can forgive a one time fling?" "I will forgive him," she growls, still kicking, "After I kill him!"
Tohru stops her, apologizing, and explains what she meant. Tohru wishes to see the good in people, even if it's hidden, and love them anyway. She wishes to be as understanding as Kagura. This makes Kagura happy, as she sits on Kyo's back. She then calls Tohru her friend, transforming back, naked on Kyo's back. "Put some clothes on!" yells Kyo. Kagura gets dress and waves goodbye to Yuki, Kyo, and Tohru. They head for school and Yuki mentions, that because of the commotion, he didn't get a chance to plant anything in his garden. Tohru asks if he's planning to plant anything new and Yuki answers yes, strawberries. Tohru says she loves strawberries and Yuki comments that he thought she might, that's why he's planting them. They smile at each other for a moment, but the ground shakes, as Kagura is rushing back! She forgot to give a goodbye kiss to Kyo!
