About Samhain
Samhain is a Pagan holiday, which is celebrated the same day as Halloween. We believe that every year on this date, the layer between the realms of life and the after-life is thinnest. This is the time of year that we may chat with our lost loved ones. We also pray and leave a candle or lantern in the window, to help lead the lost spirits in our living realm (aka: ghosts and spirits) into the loving arms of the Gods. But, as in every celebration, there are a few bad apples waiting to do mischievous things. These "bad apples" are spirits who like to "trick" people on this day, therefore we wear costumes to scare them away. Sounds familiar? It should. Halloween is just a modernized version of Samhain. ^_-
