Our heroes spent one night in the quaint city
Stonebluff. They had a hot meal, a nice warm bed, and by morning stocked up on rations
for their long journey. Now they were wandering across Dew Fields...
Galen: "This is the furthest from home I've been! This is great!" (^_^)
Edeline: "Wow, you're cheery today!" (;^_^)
Faeda: "It's kinda nice." (^_^)
Galen: "What's that suppose to mean???" (>_>)
Edeline: "And... in a flash, it's gone..." (;^_^)
Galen: "Where are we headed anyway, Faeda? You haven't told us yet!" (u_u)
Faeda: "Someplace important." (^_^)
Edeline: "That's so vague... care to share the details?" (o_O)
Before Faeda could answer, the group notices a mage wondering the fields. She was muttering to
herself and looked worried. "Who is that?" Faeda wondered. "It looks like a mage." says Galen, "Don't stare at her,
she may cast spells on us." "That's a rude thing to say." frowned Faeda. "No," sighs Edeline, "Galen's right. From
our experience, most mages are proud and view non-magical artists as lower class. If you get into a fight with one,
they will do terrible things to you." "I was turned into a chicken." grumbled Galen, "Twice!" "Well..."
grinned Faeda, "I guess with their proud ways and your stubborn ways, it's bound to turn ugly."
"Oh," sighed Edeline, "Glad ya said that! I agree! I was turned into a rock once, because Galen
and mage got into it... mis-fire!" "HEY!" screamed Galen, "STOP TALKING ABOUT ME!" "Well," blushed Faeda, "I think it
will be better if we just walk by." Edeline nodded and Galen sulked. They began to walk by the worried mage, noses in
the air, trying to ignore her.
Mage: "Oh, no... no... this isn't right." (o_o)
Galen: "..." (u_u)
Mage: "Something went wrong... but I did that perfectly!" (o_o)
Edeline: "..." (>_>)
Mage: "Wait... maybe I should ask these people..." (o_o)
Faeda: (*^_^*)
Mage: "You, there! Excuse me!" (^_^)
Galen: "Walk faster!" (o_o)
Mage: "Hey, hello! Guy and two girls!" (^_^)
Galen: "Faster-faster!" (o_o)
A lightning strike hits the ground, just inches from them! Everyone screams, though Galen is the
shrillest! "We're gonna die!" he screams, ducking to the ground. "Hey!" frowns the mage, standing in their path,
"Didn't you hear me, back there?" "We did," smiled Faeda, "But we were ignoring you." Edeline and Galen both flinched.
"What?" gasp the mage, "Why would you ignore people?" "Because Galen said-" began Faeda, but Edeline covered her mouth.
"Ah-ha," she grinned, nervously, "Faeda's a funny girl, isn't she? She's not from around here, so we're trying to escort
her to her destination. We didn't mean to ignore ya, was just busy." "Don't kill us." bowed Galen.
"Hmm," said the mage, thinking to herself, "This must be fate! You see, I'm... kinda lost.
I did a spell to teleport myself to the Marble Beach and back home. But somehow, it went wrong and I ended up here. So,
maybe you guys can help me get back home?"
Edeline: "Uhh..." (>_>)
Galen: "Uhh..." (<_<)
Faeda: "Sure! ...That is, if your home is due North!" (^_^)
Edeline: (@_@)
Mage: "Wow, it is! ...At least... I think... Oh, well. I'll tag along and find out!" (^o^)
Galen: "I can't believe this..." (<_<)
Mage: "The name's Adie, by the way! Of the Magical Apprentice Elite!" (^o^)
Edeline: "I'm Edeline, this is Faeda and Galen." (;^_^)
Faeda: "Nice to meet you!" (^_^)
Galen: *grunt* (u_u)
The four traveled in silence... Edeline and Galen were nervous, Faeda smiled, and Adie
wondered about the strange three. After a while, Adie asked, "Why is everyone so quiet?" "I'm always quiet."
smiled Faeda. "Well... um..." swallowed Edeline, "We... we..." "They're afraid you will turn them into
things." nodded Faeda, "But you seem like a nice mage." Edeline gasped and Galen covered his eyes. "What?"
frowned Adie, "Why would I turn you into things? That's just weird!" "Because," smiled Faeda, "Most mages
are proud and think we non-magical artists are-" "SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" screamed Galen, fearful for
their lives! "Lower beings." finished Faeda, giving Galen a dark look.
"WHAT?" screamed Adie, "Who told you a horrible thing like that???" "Galen and
Edeline." Faeda pointed. "Gah!" frowned Galen, "You're too damn honest!" "Really." Edeline agreed. Adie
look as if she was about to explode, then she looked sad... then suddenly, she burst into laughter. "That's
the most ridiculous thing I ever heard!" she choked, between chuckles. "Huh?" said Galen and Edeline.
Galen: "But... but.. but! I've been turned into a chicken, twice!" (o_o)
Adie: "And... what did you say or do to the mage before that?" (o_O)
Galen: "Well... um..." (o_o)
Edeline: (;^_^)
Galen: "Well, that's not the point!" W('O')W
Edeline: "It kinda is..." (;^_^)
Adie: "Sure, there are a few proud mages in this world. But not EVERY mage is that
way. Besides, it wouldn't be fair for me to assume that every non-magical artist is an goofy goober, like
you guys." (^_-)
Edeline: "Gee... thanks..." (;u_u)
Galen: "WHO ARE YOU CALLING A GOOBER!" W('O')W
"Fair enough." smiled Faeda, "Now that it's settled, we can all be friends." "Right."
nodded Adie, "No more nasty rumors. Let's head for my town! I will give you guys a tour!" "Yay!" cheered
Faeda. "Hmm..." said Edeline, "You two are suddenly bubbly." Galen sulked...
