Our heroes are now crossing the plains, heading towards the merchant town of The Ever Hills. With the sun beaming brightly, surrounded by warm air, they decided to stop for a while before moving on. "Whew," sighs Galen, taking a seat on the hard dry earth, "When did the sun decide to appear?" "With a little rest," smiled Faeda, "We should be fine." Edeline and Adie are taking turns with the canteen. "Don't drink all of the rations!" growls Galen. "Shut up, Galen!" growls Edeline. They both give each other "death-ray" looks, as Vi notices something...

Vi: "What's that?" (o_O)
Galen: "Grr!" (u_u)
Edeline: "Grr!" (u_u)
Adie: "Like a pack of wild dogs, these two are..." (;^_^)
Vi: "It's getting closer..." (O_o)
Faeda: "What is?" (o_O)
Adie: "There's no need to fight! There are plenty of rations." (;^_^)
Galen: "Ordinarily, that would be true. But with two new freeloaders..." (>_>)
Faeda: "Wait! I see it now... What is that?" (o_O)
Adie: "Who are you calling a 'freeloader'?! Lousy monk!" W('O')W
Galen: "Who are you calling a 'lousy monk'?! Freeloader!" W('O')W
Vi: "It's gaining speed... guys?" (o_o)

But they continue to argue, ignoring Vi and Faeda... "You both suck, if you ask me." said Edeline, folding her arms. "Well NOBODY asked you!!!" screamed Galen. "Hey, guys." smiled Faeda. "Hey," frowned Adie, giving Edeline a dark look, "Why are you picking on me?!" "I don't know!" yelled Edeline, arms waving. "Excuse me," waved Vi, trying to get their attention, "But-" "Edeline's such a ditz!" scoffed Galen, "She doesn't even know WHY she's fighting." "Edeline?" said Faeda, her smile fading. "Well," growled Edeline, "Maybe because I'm in a bad mood, thanks to YOU!" "Ahem!" frowned Vi.
"Me?" frowned Adie. "No," waved Edeline, "Not you, Galen!" "Guys!" yelled Faeda. "Yeah," frowned Adie, "It's all Galen's fault!" "Yeah!" agreed Edeline. "Hey!" growled Galen, "That's not fair!" Vi gave a loud whistle! Everyone stopped at once. "What is it?" asked Edeline, annoyed. "That!" pointed Vi and Faeda. A black and gold object was tumbling towards them!

Edeline: "What's that?!" (o_O)
Galen: "It's getting closer!" (o_o)
Adie: "What is that thing?!" (o_o)

Edeline: "It's almost here!" (o_o)
Galen: "Get ready to fight!" (u_u)

Edeline, Galen, and Adie braced for a fight. Vi and Faeda watched in silence, holding their breaths. The black and gold lump seem to unravel and a little girl was now standing before them. "Ta-da!" she sang. "T..." gasped Edeline, "That lump was... you?" "Why the hell are you rolling around across the plains!" shouted Galen, "Are you nuts?!" "Your pretty costume will get dirty." nodded Faeda. "I am Reeth!" bowed the girl, "And today is your lucky day!" "Somehow," frowned Galen, "I doubt that..."

Reeth: "If you guess the question right, you will get a prize!" (^o^)
Adie: "What happens if we get it wrong?" (o_O)
Reeth: "You're better off not asking!" (^o^)
Edeline: "Er, I don't like the sound of that..." (o_o)

Galen: "What's is the prize, then?" (>_>)
Reeth: "Can't say, it's a secret! BUT, it's something special!" (^o^)
Galen: "Just as I thought... No thanks, we'll pass." (<_<)
Reeth: "Ah, ha, ha! You don't have an option to pass!" (^o^)
Galen: "Wh-what! Hey! What are YOU gonna do, if we were to just walk away?" (u_u)
Reeth: "Follow you, SCREAM, KICK, and CRY until you play!" (^o^)
Edeline: (o_o)
Adie: "Oh, boy... this little girl has problems!" (o_O)

"I guess we'll have to play the game." smiled Edeline. "But..." sputtered Galen, "But... I don't wanna!" "Don't be a big baby." waved Adie, "I bet it will be easy. After all, she's just a kid. How hard could the question be?" Galen grumbled. "Okay," smiled Edeline, leaning down to face Reeth, "We'll play. But just one question. We have important grown-up business to attend to." Reeth gave Edeline a rueful look, which vanished in a instant, her bright smile returning.

Reeth: "...Okay! Are you ready for your question?" (^o^)
Edeline: "Sure, give me your best one!" (;^_^)
Faeda: (^_^)
Reeth: "Dragons once roam Serenity freely, but some unknown cause wiped them out... Many scholars today, mostly in Bowcrest, are trying to piece together what really happened to those huge mystical creatures whom once owned the skies!" (^o^)
Adie: "I...see..." (o_O)
Reeth: "So, question #1 is... What is the Latin name for Dragon?" (^o^)
Edeline: "WHAT???" (@_@)
Galen: "Hey! Do YOU even know the answer to that, kid?!" (>_>)
Reeth: "Of course! Tick-tock, answer quick!" (^o^)

A ticking sound echoed and Galen looked around. "Where's that coming from?" he frowned. "It's the clock!" smiles Reeth, "Answer fast, before time runs out!" "I-I..." struggles Edeline, not knowing the answer. "So much for, 'I bet it will be easy. After all, she's just a kid'." teased Galen. "Hey!" frowned Adie, "How was I suppose to know the kid's a prodigy???" DING! "Oops," smiles Reeth, grimly, "I'm sorry, time is up!" "Wait!" frowns Edeline, "What was the answer, then?!" "Draco.", she answers, coolly, "You now have to choose a box!" Reeth pulls out one silver and one gold box, magically from the air.

Galen: "Woah! This kid is creepy!" (o_o)
Vi: "Uh-huh..." (o_O)
Faeda: "Ooh, pretty boxes!" (^_^)
Reeth: "You have to choose... But beware! One of these boxes is a trap!" (^o^)
Edeline: "WHAT???" (@_@)
Adie: "That's SO mean!" (o_o)
Galen: "Well, good luck, Edeline!" (;^_^)
Edeline: "Good luck?! What do you mean?!" W('O')W
Galen: "Hey, we're not playing the game... You are! But, we'll support you! ...From WAY over here..." (;^_^)
Edeline: "Galen, you big chicken!" W('O')W

Everyone took a step back from Edeline. "Gee," frowned Edeline, "I'm feeling the love, here." "Pick quickly!" smiles Reeth, "Before time runs out!" The ticking begins again. "Um, um..." frowns Edeline, looking from one to another, "Um... maybe? No..." "Running out of time!" smiles Reeth. "THAT ONE!" screams Edeline, pointing to the silver box. Reeth giggles and tosses the box in the air. It spins in front of Edeline and then slowly opens... a dark lava rock is inside. "Yay!" cheers Reeth, "You won the prize!" Everyone stares at the rock for a moment, then notices Edeline's reaction... she is ready to blow up! "Calm down, Edeline." smiles Adie. "Yah," says Galen, getting worried, "Remember, it's just a kid." "It's a pretty rock." offers Faeda.
"All... of... that..." growls Edeline, inching closer to Reeth, "For... a... ROCK?!!!!" "Cool prize," she smiles, "Isn't it? No need to thank me!" "I'll-" growls Edeline, reaching for the girl, but Galen, Faeda, and Adie holds her back. "Thanks for playing!" says Reeth, sweetly. She does a spin and, in a puff of smoke, Reeth is gone!
